From humble beginnings on a small farm near Vancouver, BC, Daryl’s life has been driven by grit, creativity, and the pursuit of adventure. With roots in construction and entrepreneurship — from launching concerts to running a modeling agency — Daryl’s journey has been anything but ordinary.

After weathering life’s storms, including a $250K business loss during the pandemic, he turned challenge into opportunity. What started as a RAM 1500 build quickly became the launchpad for unforgettable overland adventures with his son Cayden and their pug Tosha — and the birth of Vancity Adventure.

Now balancing his construction career with weekend adventures and storytelling through YouTube, Daryl brings an honest, down-to-earth perspective to overlanding life. He’s not chasing fame — he’s chasing freedom, connection, and unforgettable memories.

Born in 2012, Cayden has always had a heart for adventure and a spark for storytelling. From an early age, he’s shown the ability to adapt to any environment, quickly making friends and impressing adults with his maturity and confidence.

A modern kid with a creative edge, Cayden balances his love for gaming and tech with writing stories, editing videos, and producing artwork that brings our adventures to life. Recently, he’s stepped behind the camera, capturing moments through his own lens and adding a fresh perspective to our family overlanding content.

When he’s not exploring, Cayden’s pursuing excellence in martial arts—earning his black belt in Taekwondo through hard work and discipline. He’s not just along for the ride—he’s helping shape the journey.
