Vancity Adventure is built on family, adventure, and a passion for exploring the world. Daryl and Angie began their journey together in 2004, married in 2008, and welcomed their son, Cayden, in 2012.
Today, Daryl and Cayden share their love of overlanding, adventure travel, camping, and exploring through Vancity Adventure, inspiring others to discover incredible destinations and create unforgettable memories. While Angie prefers to stay behind the scenes, she joins many of our travel and camping adventures, making each journey a true family experience.

Tosha, our adventure-loving pug, is an important part of the Vancity Adventure family. Whether we’re overlanding, camping, hiking, or exploring new destinations, she’s always ready for the next adventure.

Like many people, we faced unexpected challenges during the pandemic. When work slowed down in 2020, it created an opportunity to reconnect with what we loved most—exploring the outdoors, traveling, and telling stories through video.
That moment became the beginning of Vancity Adventure. What started as a passion project quickly grew into a community built around overlanding, adventure travel, camping, and exploring the unknown. We spent countless hours improving our filming, discovering new trails, and sharing our journeys with others.
The response has been incredible. Adventure seekers from around the world have joined us, shared their own stories, asked questions, and become part of a community that celebrates exploration and the outdoors.

The story of Vancity Adventure started with a simple conversation during Christmas 2019 that changed everything. I reached out to my childhood friend Chrome for music for a parade—and discovered he had traded DJ life for vanlife, documenting his travels on YouTube through Vancity Vanlife, now known as The Chrome Project.
Seeing his journey sparked my curiosity about YouTube storytelling, video production, and creating adventure content. In early 2020, I filmed my first video while exploring how online storytelling could help share my construction company’s story.
When the pandemic changed everything and work slowed down, I turned my focus toward what I loved most—the outdoors, travel, and exploration. I began documenting overlanding adventures, off-road trails, camping trips, and father-son journeys with Cayden and our adventure pug Tosha.
From those uncertain times, Vancity Adventure was born—a story built on creativity, resilience, and the belief that every challenge can lead to a new adventure.
Today, we continue to explore new destinations, share authentic stories, and inspire others to get outside and live life one epic journey at a time.
Behind every great adventure is a story—and every story deserves powerful visuals. I personally create 95% of Vancity Adventure’s designs, combining years of experience as a traditional artist, graphic designer, and creative storyteller.
From custom artwork and branding to magazine features, murals, logos, and digital content, my creative work has helped bring ideas to life across multiple platforms. Every design is built with the same passion we bring to our overlanding, adventure, and travel content.
While I lead the creative direction, I occasionally collaborate with talented artists and creators to bring new perspectives and fresh ideas to select projects.
This blend of artistic experience, storytelling, and collaboration helps Vancity Adventure create bold, memorable visuals that inspire adventure and connect with our growing community.

For us, overlanding and travel are about creating lifelong memories, especially through the father-son adventures I share with my son Cayden. Every journey strengthens our bond, teaches valuable lessons, and reminds us that the best adventures are the ones shared with the people you love.
And of course, no adventure is complete without Tosha, our adventure-loving pug. From camping trips to exploring new trails, she brings endless energy, loyalty, and joy to every journey.

Every great adventure deserves an incredible perspective. Our drone journey started with a budget drone that quickly met its fate while filming a waterfall—but that first experience sparked a passion for aerial storytelling.
We upgraded to the DJI Mavic Air 2, opening up a whole new world of possibilities for capturing breathtaking landscapes, epic trails, and unforgettable overlanding adventures from above.
As licensed drone pilots in Canada, we take pride in flying responsibly and following all regulations for drones over 250g. Safety and respect for the environment are always part of our adventures.

Every great adventure has a story, and ours begins with the truck that has carried us through countless journeys. This 2007 Ram 1500 has been part of my life for years, proudly wearing my company logo until February 2023 and eventually becoming the foundation of the Vancity Adventure overlanding build.
Along the way, we also had another 2005 Dodge Ram in the fleet with a similar style, upgraded with a rack, different grille, and lighting setup. While both trucks played a role, my original Ram has always been the heart of our adventures.
The photos below capture the evolution of this truck—from 2008 and 2020, before Vancity Adventure officially began, to the fully equipped overlanding rig it has become today.
