From Stress to 100K: How Vancity Adventure Turned Life Around

Growing up in Langley, BC, I was surrounded by stories of my dad exploring rivers, forests, and hidden trails—tales that sparked a lifelong love of adventure. Now living in the Vancouver area, I carry that spirit with me every time we hit the road.

Life hasn’t always been easy. In 2020, I faced one of the toughest challenges of my life: a former client owed me $250,000, and just as the world shut down due to COVID, it felt like everything was on hold.

Feeling overwhelmed, I knew I needed a way to escape and find clarity. So I did what felt natural: I packed up our RAM 1500, grabbed my son, Cayden, and hit the road. Our adorable pug, Tosha, joined too—and sometimes my wife comes along. We left stress behind and set out for the first of many adventures.

That first trip was meant to be a mental reset—but it turned into something much bigger. Hidden trails, secret waterfalls, and scenic backroads became our classroom for connection, healing, and joy. Every stop was a story, every climb a lesson, and every laugh a reminder that family and nature outweigh the worries of the world.

Over the years, Vancity Adventure grew from a small escape into one of Canada’s fastest-growing outdoor YouTube channels. Cayden and I share our journeys with tens of thousands of followers, showing how to turn challenges into opportunities, explore boldly, and even how a little pug named Tosha can make life richer.

October 12, 2025, we reached a huge milestone: 100,000 subscribers! This isn’t just a number—it’s proof that even in the darkest moments, you can create something meaningful, inspire others, and turn stress into adventure.
